Wheat Ridge Wadsworth Boulevard Kitchen Fire

On April 25, 2024 at 3:58 p.m., West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure in the 3100 block of Wadsworth Boulevard. At Wheat Ridge. Engine 16 arrived at the scene of an active fire on the Delta side of a small one-story single-family home and was towed 1 3/4 due to the fire attack. Engine 1 established water supply to Engine 16, and Engine 17 began the primary search. District 1 arrives and takes over command of attack strategy and assigns medical care to Medic 11. Workers quickly extinguished the fire in the kitchen area without further delay. The Wheat Ridge Police Department closed northbound Wadsworth Boulevard at W. 29th Street during the supply line incident. No injuries were reported and the cause was due to cooking.
