Genie's Kitchen season 1 aired on February 24, 2023 and ended on May 5. The 11-episode variety show featured K-pop icons BTS V, Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-sik, Lee Seo-jin, and Jung Yu-mi. Genie's Kitchen season 1 took place in Mexico, where the cast members opened a Korean street food restaurant abroad to entertain tourists and locals.
Go Min-si replaces BTS V in Genie's Kitchen (Sojins) 2
Na PD's Korean cooking variety show “Genie's Kitchen,” aka “Seokjins 2,” will return to Amazon Prime Video on June 28, with Go Min-si stepping up to take over as the main cast member, replacing BTS V. The Youth of May star is the show's new intern, a position proudly held by Taehyung in season one.
BTS's V is currently serving in the military in South Korea, so the singer will not be appearing in the show's sequel.According to reports, “Genie's Kitchen 2” will be set in Reykjavik, Iceland, and the cast will follow a similar format to season 1. Following on from season 1, “Genie's Kitchen 2” will feature veteran Korean actor Lee Seo-jin as the CEO. The cast will introduce some of Korea's most beloved dishes to new tourists.
The first trailer for Genie's Kitchen 2 reveals the entire cast of the show. Season 2 will feature Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-sik, Lee Seo-jin, Jung Yu-mi, and Go Min-si. The teaser also gives a sneak peek at the episodes. In one scene, Seo-joon is seen sitting on the kitchen floor in a fluster, explaining what a tiring day he's had.
