World Central Kitchen founder José Andrés on Sunday questioned Israel's investigation into the attack that killed seven staff in the Gaza Strip, warning that the conflict had become a “war against humanity itself.”
“Of course we would like to thank the IDF for conducting such a quick investigation,” a representative for the US-based charity told ABC's “This Week.”
“At the same time, given the complexity of the case, I would say that the investigation should go much deeper,” he added.
“And I say the perpetrator cannot investigate himself.”
The Israel Defense Forces said the killing of a World Central Kitchen worker in the Gaza Strip on Monday was a “tragic mistake.”

Three British nationals, a dual US-Canadian citizen, a Pole, an Australian and a Palestinian were killed when the IDF and their convoy securing the route were repeatedly attacked.
During the investigation, the Israeli military said an armed man climbed onto the roof of the truck and “started firing,” raising suspicions that “the convoy had been hijacked by Hamas.”
When asked about the Israeli report, Andres questioned the report, adding: “This is no longer about the seven men and women from World Central Kitchen who died in this unfortunate event.” .

He accused Israel of targeting “everything” that could move and had continued to do so “for far too long.”
“This doesn't seem to be a war on terror. This doesn't seem to be a war to defend Israel anymore,” he said. “At this point, it really does seem like a war against humanity itself.”
