Here are 5 kitchen ingredients that can be used as floor cleaners.
1. Baking soda:
Baking soda is alkaline and abrasive, breaking down oil stains and dissolving them in water. We recommend adding 5 tablespoons of baking soda to a bucket of water and cleaning your tiles with it.
2. Vinegar:
Vinegar is acidic and can help remove stubborn stains from your floors. Wash by mixing half vinegar with a bucket of water. We recommend that you do not regularly use vinegar on tiles or marble, as acids can cause corrosion.
3. Lemon juice:
Lemon juice is a substitute for vinegar. Not only does it remove stubborn dirt, it also removes bacteria and leaves a refreshing scent around you. Lemon juice can be an expensive option, so we recommend mixing it with vinegar and adding it to a bucket of water for washing.
4. Salt:
Salt, especially rock salt, has antibacterial properties and acts as a natural deterrent for things like flies, mosquitoes, and various other insects. Additionally, it acts as a natural exfoliant to remove dirt from your floors. Wash by mixing a handful of salt in 1 liter of water.
5. Olive oil:
Olive oil is considered one of the best solutions for wooden floors. Not only does it clean and polish your floors, but it instantly restores their luster. Add a few drops of olive oil to a bucket of water and you'll be enjoying clean, polished floors again.
