“When it comes to kitchen hardware trends for 2024, we are seeing a noticeable shift towards minimalist elegance,” explains interior designer Shalini Misra. “Think clean lines, smooth surfaces, and seamless, integrated finger pulls for a tidy finish.”
Whether you have a minimalist or modern kitchen, choosing sleek and simple hardware options can be a great choice that blends in seamlessly with the rest of the room's décor. Interior designer Meredith Owen also sees minimal hardware as a major trend this year, saying, “I love using minimal hardware. It's perfect for modern kitchens and adds to the overall I can concentrate on the design,” he added.

“Mixed metal is one of my favorite trends this year,” says Dara Segbefia, founder and lead designer of LA-based The Zen Experience. “I'm really loving the way chrome and matte black work together right now. Also, mixing brass and copper is timeless and sophisticated.”

Designers say this year will bring back classic hardware options that are perfect for traditional kitchens. “Our favorite kitchen hardware trend for 2024 is the return of classic hardware selections, and we’re talking about very traditional classics,” says Dekay & Tail Designer and Founding Partner said Nina Grauer. “We've been seeing minimalist kitchens without hardware for a long time, so it's great to see hardware coming back in general.”

Rincon Road interior designer Melinda Trembley adds, “I'm still a huge fan of unlacquered brass. It's an old world classic that will never go out of style.”

5. Vintage statement design

In 2024, hardware will also be used to enhance the design of the kitchen, especially in large vintage styles, as pictured above. “We believe that hardware is a great place to do something unexpected in the kitchen,” says Susan Yeley, creative director and owner of Susan Yeley Homes, an Indiana-based design firm. “I say it.” he says. “2024 is the year of vintage pulls and pulls with interesting shapes and contrasting colors.”
