With Thanksgiving fast approaching, many of us suddenly realize that we either didn't plan ahead or had no choice but to travel in large crowds to see friends and family. Nerdwallet calculated that the busiest days at airports around Thanksgiving are the Sunday after Thanksgiving and the Wednesday and Friday before. Oddly enough, Thursday the day before only comes in eighth in terms of crowds, and MarketWatch suggests avoiding Wednesday-Sunday itineraries and trying these travel days instead. Thanksgiving Day itself is the day with the least traffic every year. What's wrong with having a fancy dinner the night before? However, they suggest staying longer if your job allows, or flying back on Black Friday. Shopping can be done on the go. Travel and Leisure says that to avoid any sticky situations, it's worth knowing the rules for traveling with food and finding out what you can and can't bring on a plane according to TS***. It may seem silly, but if the gravy isn't frozen solid when it is inspected, it could be considered a liquid. Just something to keep in mind.
